Our Story

CAPE was established by two Edmonton women, who are bound together by a passion for supporting health and wellness within our community. CAPE was founded to support individuals facing barriers to healthcare, to help connect them to their Primary Care Network, and enable them to be informed about the options and opportunities available to themselves

Our Mission

CAPE is an IUD sexual health clinic in Edmonton that openly explores conversations around birth control, sexual health, and gender-affirming care. We work with people who have uteruses to support them to make informed decisions about their own health and body.

We provide accessible IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals for free or a significantly reduces cost for anyone who does not have the funding or financial resources to afford one - including (but not limited to) newcomers to Canada, those who are experiencing unstable housing, those who use substances, the 2SLGBTQ+ community, students, and youth.
